Mayor's Message

Welcome to Preston, Minnesota. The community of Preston is a great place to live and work. While you are here, we hope you can enjoy our beautiful area and discover all of its unique charms.

Preston is a vibrant community located in the beautiful bluff country of southeastern Minnesota. Preston is the Fillmore County seat.

Preston was established as an ag-based community with strong ties to agriculture that still remain today. The community has a traditional base of service, retail and industrial businesses. Over the last 20 years, tourism has grown to be an important segment of the local economy. Visitors to the Preston area enjoy our bicycle trails, trout streams, Forestville State Park, snowmobile and cross-country ski trails and more.

Preston offers an excellent public school, public library and beautiful park system. Again, welcome to Preston. We are happy to have you here in our community and hope you enjoy your time in Preston.
