PRESTON, Minn., December 6, 2021 – On Sunday, December 12, the Preston Area Chamber of Commerce will dedicate this year’s Chamber Christmas Tree in memory of several Preston area community members who have passed away in 2021.
The PACC will decorate and light the tree in memory of Eloise Hoff, Diane Ruud, Hallie Snyder, Dave Sikkink, Ken Denny, Pat Gartner and Joan Clement.
The short ceremony will take place at 11am on Sunday, December 12, at the Preston Ice Skating Rink warming shelter. The tree was placed there in 2020 to help draw attention the the Ice Rink. All the community members that the PACC tree is dedicated to have contributed to #PrestonPride in several ways during their lives in Preston.
The PACC Christmas Tree Dedication Ceremony began in 2014. The intent of the ceremony is to dedicate the Christmas Tree in memory of individuals who have served the community in some way. Nominations are made each year to the Chamber Board and the Board makes a selection from the nominations. This year the Board felt that there were several people who deserved this honor.
